12 Sydney Bars That Have Delivery and Takeaway Cocktails During Lockdown
Well people, it looks like we might be in this one for a while.
As Sydney’s latest lockdown wears on—well past its welcome, I might add—we must find ways to stay cheery at home.
Thankfully, the fine folks staffing Sydney’s many renowned drinking houses have us covered. There’s a huge variety of bottled beverages and canned cocktails, available for takeaway or delivery, from our favourite venues throughout Sydney.
Better yet, buying from these venues means you’re supporting Sydney’s embattled hospitality scene through some seriously hard times.
Keep scrolling for a rundown of the best cocktails (and non-alcoholic creations) for takeaway and delivery in Sydney this lockdown.
12 Places Doing Takeaway & Delivery Cocktails Sydney
1.Maybe Sammy
Brought to you by the well-dressed ‘tenders at everyone’s favourite 1950’s-chic bar, Maybe Sammy’s bottled cocktails are here to remind us of the good times, and show us that there are many more just around the corner.
The bar is serving up a trio of bottled cocktails that offer an imaginative twist to the old classics. The cocktails come in both single-serve (100mL) and family size (500mL) to see you through the weekend and can be bought separately or as a neat trio gift pack.
Check out the Maybe Sammy website for more info.
2.Gin Lane
Gin Lane is one of Sydney’s finest gin bars. In normal times it boasts an impressive (and sometimes eccentric) cocktail menu, which includes classic numbers like the Vesper martini, as well as some technicolour house inventions, like the Monkey Gland and Blueberry Daisy.
Undaunted by the current circumstance, Gin Lane is determined to deliver on its promise of variety and creativity, offering a huge suite of bottled cocktails for both delivery and takeaway.
You can even grab some G&T jelly or a non-alcoholic fizz, for those less boozily inclined.
Head to Gin Lane’s delivery partner website for cocktail offerings and open hours.
3.Dulcie’s
If you’re in the mood for the classics—think Sazerac, Martini and Carousel Club—Dulcie’s has got what you need… with a twist.
From its cosy home in what was once a gentlemen’s club, Dulcie’s mixes the finest beverages in the old red-light district of Kings Cross, with an exclusive focus on Australian products and botanicals.
These charming Aussie takes on much-loved classics really are a must-try.
Head to Dulcie’s website for the bottled cocktail menu and delivery info.
4.Continental Deli Bar Bistro
Maybe it was psychic intuition, or maybe just good fortune that Continental’s cocktails should be so portable.
Sydney’s favourite deli-bar-bistro combo is offering its iconic canned cocktails as part of a suite of deliverables this lockdown. The aptly named Mar-tinny and Can-hattan make for the perfect lockdown libations.
And the kitschy, punny cans are sure to make you smile as well!
Head to Continental Deli's partner website for menus and delivery info.
5.Sonora Mexican
This well-loved neighbourhood taqueria is keeping its cocktail offering simple this lockdown, with housemade margaritas and piña coladas on offer alongside its extensive food menu.
These simple and delicious classics are available for delivery or in-person pickup at the venue’s outdoor bar in Potts Point.
Check out Sonora’s menu here, for delivery Thursday to Sunday, or swing by if you’re in the Potts Point area.
6.PS40
The cosy and ultra-modern PS40 is a bar well known for its creative concoctions that upend our ingrained flavour sensibilities.
PS40’s unique creations are the result of countless hours of macerating, mixing and clarifying behind-the-scenes. In non-lockdown times, the bar makes a show of it for the adoring crowds that pile into the venue.
Now PS40 has decided to take its meticulous craft to the streets, offering individual cocktails as well as the ‘Snap Pack Box’ for delivery throughout the inner-Sydney suburbs.

7.Esteban
Sydney’s renowned pan-Mexican feed-house, Esteban, is your one-stop-shop for margaritas (and more) this lockdown.
Esteban’s “shake-at-home” cocktails range from the simple, yet effective classic margarita, to the sweet tooth's favourite passionfruit and coconut margarita, or the infinitely rich and aromatic “Smoke in the Dark” mezcal-fernet-bitters concoction.
These exciting creations and more are available in single-serve, or six-serve repurposed Patron bottles to kick-off the festivities at home.

8.The Roosevelt
The Roosevelt’s fantastic suite of stylish mod cocktails is impressive, to say the least.
This Potts Point local pays its respects to the art-deco era, with a range of refined and exciting creations that tease out the cocktail classics into something at once familiar and thrilling.

9.Four Pillars Laboratory
So, if you haven't noticed, Sydney’s gin scene is thriving. Gin micro-distilleries and specialty bars abound and bespoke cocktail-spirit partnerships are quickly becoming the new norm.
This is in no small part thanks to the fine works coming out of Four Pillars.
Four Pillars operates a shop-bar-distillery combo in Surry Hills, aptly named the Laboratory, where unique gin-based creations are churned out like there’s no tomorrow.
The Four Pillars Lab is currently offering bottled cocktails, like the “Double Barrelled Negroni”, as well as numerous limited-release speciality gins for delivery and takeaway.
Check out what’s on offer at the Four Pillars website.
10.The Cumberland
Subtle, sophisticated and sensorial is Manly Cove’s hidden gem, the Cumberland.
In normal times, this underground bar hosts an array of weekly events to show off its meticulously made cocktails—all flavourful creations that utilise an unlikely array of native botanicals and liqueurs.
Thankfully, Cumberland has availed itself to the locked-down masses and is currently operating a pop-up stall outside of In Situ in Manly, with some of its creative concoctions bottled and available for takeaway to any in the Northern Beaches area.
Check out the Cumberland website for more info on the venue and normal cocktail offering.
11.Poor Toms Gin Hall
Poor Toms Gin Hall in Marrickville is another beloved gin-stitution that has come to shape the contours of Sydney’s cocktail circuit.
The Gin Hall operates as a distillery and bar, where the company crafts, packages and slings its innovative creations to gin fanatics and casual imbibers alike.
Several speciality gins and canned cocktails are available online for delivery throughout Sydney. But if you’re currently holding down in the Marrickville area, Poor Toms is still operating a storefront, offering a much larger array of bottled cocktails to takeaway patrons.
