This Celebrity Nail Artist Makes the Coolest Jewellery

Manicure artist to the stars Betina Goldstein has been behind the beautiful nails of countless celebrities, including Bella Hadid, Billie Eilish, Kirstin Dunst, Brie Larson, Cindy Crawford… The list goes on. In the nail world, she's a celebrity in her own right. Known best for her tiny delicate paintings on nails, Goldstein creates miniature works of art to adorn fingertips, some so intricate you need a magnifying glass to fully appreciate them. She’s also the one who started the candy-coloured Skittles manicure and the luxe tortoiseshell manicure trends.

Those in the beauty world have likely heard her name before, but what you might not know is that Goldstein also has a range of stunning rings that perfectly complement her delicate manicures. Her jewellery brand, Doublemoss, is designed and made in Los Angeles. Much like her famous nail art, the pieces are dainty yet statement-making.

The collection includes a range of fine chain rings set with precious coloured gemstones and diamonds, fine twists and curves of gold that twine and bend up fingers, soft, hand-beaten gold bands, and serpentine and scorpion-inspired pieces. They’re perfect for mixing and matching, stacking and collecting a whole set. But if we had to choose just one favourite, it would be the Artist Palette Ring from Goldstein's sister brand, Doublemoss Arte.

Blending jewellery with beauty, Doublemoss Arte creates luxury tools for nail artists: Brushes in a range of widths made of solid brass and vegan bristles. The Artist Palette Ring links the two brands, connecting Betina's nail art background and her jewellery line. The ring, crafted from solid brass, can be worn as an extravagant statement ring, or for more practical purposes, the round divots in the oval face of it make it the perfect palette for nail polish or make-up.

Goldstein designed the ring to solve a problem: “Being an editorial nail artist for the past nine years, you can imagine that I use nail-art brushes and cosmetic tools every day. I found myself frequently replacing my nail art brushes and tools due to the lesser quality of the materials used to create them; The constant exposure to varnish and harsh solvents like acetone would deteriorate my brushes and palettes within a couple of uses."

The solid brass means that the ring stands up to a lot of wear and tear, and the design (aside from being a sleek accessory) allows you to easily reach your colours while you’re working. The ring costs just $124, and while Doublemoss Arte doesn’t ship to Australia (though it does ship to New Zealand) you can use Australia Post’s ShopMate service

If you want to add a few luxe rings from the Doublemoss collection to your jewellery box, you’re in luck—they do ship to Australia. We’ve also got our eyes on the Catena chain ring with diamond—how luxe!
