Here’s How You Can Snag a Ride On Richard Branson’s Yacht

Nothing says luxury more than a voyage around the Caribbean on a decked-out superyacht. Except, maybe... if it's the yacht of one of the world's most successful businessmen.

Interested? Well you are in luck as Richard Branson’s former catamaran is now available for private charter, which means you too can live or rather sail like a billionaire.

Branson initially bought the superyacht in 2009, renaming her Necker Belle after his private island located in the British Virgin Islands. Under his ownership, the catamaran won best new refit in 2010 at the World Superyacht Awards. Since being sold in 2018 for a whopping US $32 million, the superyacht, now known as Bella Vita, has undergone another revamp, making it as sophisticated and slick as ever.

The deluxe carbon fibre catamaran can sleep 10 with a master bedroom, a double cabin and two twin cabins, all with en-suite showers, flat-screen TVs and air-conditioning to keep you cool on those balmy Caribbean nights. The main saloon can even be converted in the evening to accommodate an additional two people. The boat has a relaxed beach house aesthetic and includes ample indoor and outdoor space, perfect for sunbathing and sunset cocktails.

Bella Vista is truly a billionaire’s playground with a long list of toys, including a deck trampoline, diving board, paddleboards, kayaks, sea scooters, floating islands, snorkel gear, wakeboards, kneeboards, fishing gear, water skis and underwater video Go-Pro. For on-board fun, Bella Vita also has indoor and outdoor music, as well as an exterior movie projector.

Then there is the Necker Nymph, “a 3-person aero submarine that can dive down to a depth of 30 metres, fly underwater and explore ancient shipwrecks and exotic marine life amongst vibrant coral reefs.” The submarine, a personal favourite of Branson’s, can be organised at an additional cost and requires advanced booking.

The 105-foot superyacht also has a crew of seven, so you are guaranteed round the clock 5-star service.

Where Does Bella Vista Sail?

Bella Vista sets sail from a variety of Caribbean destinations, cruising through the crystal waters of St Kitts, St Lucia, the breathtaking British Virgin Islands, St Barts, St Maarten and more.

How Much Will it Cost?

Bella Vita, with all her bells and whistles, comes in at a cool US$70,000 - $80,000 per week for an all-inclusive superyacht experience.
