This Travel Company Is Making the Most Out of Working from Home

Cast your mind back to 2019, when life knew no bounds: When travel, exploration and adventure were commonplace and our minds were forever expanding with every plane trip abroad.

In 2020, our once boundless world was shut down, and life soon only existed within the four walls of homes—left with only TVs, computer screens, and the confines of our imaginations.

The world ground to a halt, but it's starting to look up. As 2021 dawned, so too did our hope for the future. Our thirst for travel, knowledge, excitement and, quite frankly, anything new has finally bubbled over. You may have noticed that many intrepid travellers worldwide are already making their next getaway plans as if the pandemic never happened.

In addition to inhibiting our ability to travel, the course of 2020 forever changed the way we work. With offices closing down, online capabilities were forced to improve and offices everywhere adopted more flexible working conditions. Working from home, or "remote working", appears to be here to stay with up to 60% of Australian workers preferring to work remotely 2-3 days per week, according to a recent BCG report.

With more flexibility, workers are now seeing the endless possibilities of combining work-life with travel. When all we need is a computer and internet, working from anywhere begins to seem totally doable.

One company, in particular, has kept an eye on the trends and is ready to capitalise on our newfound wanderlust. Keen to offset the stagnation of 2020 and combine travel with our more flexible working conditions, we introduce you to SOJRN.
